AskMyCareer's onboarding experience begins with an optional career goal, continues from authenticated saved work, and recommends one useful next action. In-context guidance supports Career Graph and application-document workflows, while close, finish, skip, Free, and explicit trial-confirmation controls keep the user in charge.
Product update A clearer start, built around what matters to you Career progress rarely begins with a neat checklist. It begins with a question: what would make the biggest difference right now? AskMyCareer now starts there, using the goal you choose and the work already saved in your account to recommend one useful next move. Keep your momentum Return to the same direction and continue from the work you have already saved. When onboarding is active, the Home page offers four practical directions: apply for a role, prepare for interviews, organize your career evidence, or begin with I am not sure yet . Your choice gives AskMyCareer enough context to order the next step. It is optional, it can be retained for a later session, and it does not buy anything, start a trial, or lock you into a permanent career decision. The early path builds a reusable Career Graph around three essentials: the role you are moving toward, an experience or project that shows what you can do, and proof of impact. One recommendation keeps the next move visible without turning the Home page into a permanent setup checklist. In the Career Graph, AskMyCareer places a compact guide beside the relevant section and highlights the exact area to work on. You can see where to add a target position, a meaningful experience or project, and proof of impact while keeping the full form in view. The instruction stays connected to the field it describes, so you can act without switching to a separate tutorial. From evidence to application Carry the same context into Resume and Cover Letter For an application goal, the Home page can open Resume or Cover Letter with a compatible Career Graph and target job already in context. The guide then points to the document choice, source selectors, template and details, evidence blocks, and the final generation action. The result is a connected path from the experience you have captured to the document you want to create. Document guidance keeps each decision visible and leaves the final generation action in your hands. Built for confidence Helpful when you need it, out of the way when you do not The new experience is designed to create momentum without manufacturing progress. Finishing a guide records that you have seen the walkthrough. Your Career Graph, document, story, or Coach outcome moves forward only when the real work is successfully saved or created. Close Dismiss the current explanation and keep working at your own pace. Finish Complete the walkthrough without pretending the underlying career task is done. Skip After confirmation, remove later onboarding guidance without deleting your career data. Paid paths remain deliberate. Selecting an interview goal does not start a trial.
